I have spent much of my career as an editor, both for newspapers (The New
York Times
, the Chicago Tribune, the San Francisco Examiner) and magazines
(including O, the Oprah magazine; Women’s Health; and Denver Life).
It has been such fun working with talented writers and helping them shape
