WRITING
FOOD
One of the real perks of being a journalist is getting to meet amazing chefs and food growers, talk to them about how they make their amazing creations—and eat! I’ve been lucky enough to indulge in meals at some of Denver’s coolest new restaurants, visit Colorado’s famed apple and peach orchards, and learn how to make fruit galettes. Ain’t life grand?
DESIGN
When you are as big a fan of interior design as I am, it’s a real honor to
get to visit freshly designed spaces, interview architects and interior
designers, and make both commercial and residential spaces come alive for
readers looking for inspiration.
You can’t be shy and be a journalist. You have to enjoy talking to people and, more important, asking questions. Usually when I am done with an interview, I pinch myself that I get to talk to so many interesting people: artists, entrepreneurs, chefs, athletes…. Here are a few portraits of my favorite people.
PROFILES
TRAVEL
I’ve been all over the world, from South Africa to China, Australia to Japan. Whether I’m doing a road trip to the Black Hills or a grand tour of London’s most royal sights, I always find amazing things to enjoy (Australia’s Kangaroo Island! Kirstenbosch Garden in Capetown! South Dakota’s Custer State Park!). Travel is the cat’s pajamas.
MISCELLANEOUS
Sometimes, I have written about topics that don’t fit into the above
categories. Here are stories from a Christmas Gift Guide to a Children’s
Cookie Party to an Indulgence Package.
